Auction Solutions
Atreus delivers custom auction platforms for asset operators, fleet remarketers, contractors, government agencies, and nonprofits. One API-first engine — the same one powering Ukraine's ProZorro and ProZorro.Sale systems at more than 51 million conducted auctions and over $3.5 billion in tracked transaction value — supports six auction formats (Forward English, Reverse English, Sealed Bid, Dutch, Hybrid Dutch, Texas) across every solution below. Every Atreus deployment is a custom engagement scoped to the operator's business model, not a self-serve SaaS plan.
How to choose an auction solution
The right auction format depends on a single question: are you selling assets or buying services?
- If you are selling assets (vehicles, real estate, equipment, charity lots), the goal is to maximize the final price. The default formats are Forward English (open ascending), Sealed Bid (one confidential bid per participant), and Texas (last-bidder-standing for premium single lots).
- If you are buying services (subcontractor bids, fleet supply contracts, procurement tenders), the goal is to minimize the price you pay. The default format is Reverse English, where suppliers compete down over multiple rounds. Sealed Bid is used for one-shot RFPs.
- If you are clearing inventory fast (overstock, returns, perishables), Dutch auctions move stock fastest by starting at a high price and dropping until a bidder accepts.
- If you are disposing of complex portfolios (non-performing loans, bankruptcy estates, state assets), Hybrid Dutch combines all three mechanics — Dutch, Sealed Bid, and Best Price — into a single staged process.
Every solution below is mapped to the auction format that fits its industry default.
Asset Auction Solutions
For operators selling physical assets — vehicles, property, equipment, and charity lots. Forward English is the default format; Sealed Bid, Dutch, and Texas are layered in for industry-specific use cases.
Government Auction Platform & Public Sector Procurement
Public-sector asset disposal and procurement on one platform. Forward English for surplus and impound asset disposal; Reverse English for tendering — the same Reverse English module that powers Ukraine's national e-procurement system. Designed for compliance, audit trail, and multi-organization deployments.
Car Auction Platform & Online Auto Auction Software
Custom auto auction platforms for dealer groups, fleet remarketers, OEMs, and specialist auction houses. Supports closed dealer-only rounds, public retail auctions, and high-volume fleet disposal events on the same infrastructure. Direct Odoo ERP integration for inventory and accounting sync.Salvage Auction Platform for Insurance & Total-Loss Vehicles
For insurance carriers, salvage processors, and total-loss vehicle operators running Copart-style or IAA-style high-volume ascending auctions. Includes condition-report intake, multi-yard logistics, rapid title transfer, and Sealed Bid support for bulk insurance portfolio sales. →
Classic & Collector Car Auction Platform
For specialist auction houses running Barrett-Jackson- and Mecum-style live ascending sales. Supports hybrid online + in-room bidding, premium bidder onboarding, and Texas-format single-lot endurance bidding for headline collector vehicles. →
Estate Sale & Online Estate Auction Platform
For estate auctioneers and probate processors running mixed-lot sales. Forward English handles the main inventory; Dutch auctions accelerate clearance of remaining lots. Bulk lot intake, photo management, and post-sale settlement are designed for high-throughput estate workflows
Real Estate Auction Platform & Online Property Auction Software
For real estate auctioneers, foreclosure servicers, and commercial property disposers. Forward English for residential auctions; Sealed Bid for commercial and confidential transactions; Hybrid Dutch for distressed-property and NPL portfolios — the same module that processed $279 million in revenue at Ukraine's Deposit Guarantee Fund. → Read more
Silent Auction Software for Nonprofits & Charity Galas
For nonprofits running silent auctions, charity galas, and hybrid live/silent fundraising events. A silent auction is, by definition, a Sealed Bid auction — Atreus runs that format alongside Forward English for the live gala portion, on the same platform, with white-label branding for the nonprofit.
Section: Procurement & Bidding Solutions
For general contractors, owners, and procurement teams running competitive bidding rounds with subcontractors and suppliers. Reverse English is the default format — the same engine that runs ProZorro, where it has saved more than $3.5 billion across 4.11 million conducted reverse auctions.
Construction Bidding Software for General Contractors
For GCs and owners managing subcontractor bid invitations, leveling, and award. Reverse English runs the competitive pricing rounds; Sealed Bid handles single-shot RFPs; Hybrid Dutch fits large multi-stage public works tenders. Built for construction-procurement workflows, not generic e-sourcing. Plumbing Contractor Bidding Software
Reverse English bidding rounds for plumbing subcontractor procurement. For property managers, GCs, and facilities teams sourcing plumbing services across single projects or multi-site contracts.
Electrical Contractor Bidding Software
Reverse English bidding rounds for electrical subcontractor procurement on commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. Supports prequalification, scope-locked bidding rounds, and award workflows for both single-project and master-services-agreement scenarios.
Why operators choose Atreus
Most operators evaluating auction software end up comparing four options: third-party marketplaces (Manheim, Copart, IAA, B-Stock), off-the-shelf SaaS, in-house builds, and custom platforms. Atreus is the fourth option — a custom-built platform on top of a proven engine that has been in production for over a decade.
The deciding factors in most evaluations are:
Multi-format in one engine. Few competitors support all six auction formats. Atreus runs Forward English, Reverse English, Sealed Bid, Dutch, Hybrid Dutch, and Texas on the same infrastructure — operators can launch new business lines without licensing a second platform.
Production-scale proof. ProZorro and ProZorro.Sale represent more than 51 million conducted auctions and several billion dollars of conducted transaction value. The engine has already been stress-tested by an entire country's procurement system.
API-first and Odoo-native. The public REST API at auctions-api.atreus.auction exposes every auction action programmatically. Operators on Odoo get a direct ERP integration; operators on other systems integrate via the API.
White-label by default. Bidders interact with the operator's brand, the operator's domain, and the operator's UI. The Atreus engine runs in the background and is not visible to end users.
Custom engagement, not generic SaaS. Every deployment starts with a scoping conversation about the operator's specific auction model, integration landscape, and operational scale. There is no self-serve sign-up.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is auction-as-a-service? Auction-as-a-service is a deployment model where an operator runs their own branded auction platform on top of a shared, cloud-hosted auction engine. The operator owns the bidder relationship and the data; the engine provider maintains the auction logic, infrastructure, and uptime. Atreus is an auction-as-a-service platform.
What is the difference between auction software and an auction marketplace? Auction software is the platform an operator uses to run their own auctions — the operator owns the bidders, the data, and the brand. An auction marketplace (Manheim, Copart, IAA, B-Stock) is a third-party venue where an operator lists items to bid against the marketplace's existing buyer pool. With software, the operator owns the audience and pays no per-transaction marketplace fees. With a marketplace, the operator gets immediate buyer reach but does not own the relationship.
Which industries does Atreus support? Atreus is currently deployed across automotive (dealer groups, fleet remarketing, salvage, classic and collector), real estate (residential, commercial, foreclosure), government and public sector (procurement, surplus, impound), construction and contractor procurement (general contracting, plumbing, electrical, mechanical), and nonprofits (silent auctions, charity galas). Other industries with auction or procurement workflows are supported through custom engagement.
Can I run multiple auction formats on one Atreus platform? Yes. All six formats — Forward English, Reverse English, Sealed Bid, Dutch, Hybrid Dutch, Texas — run on the same engine. An operator can schedule a Forward English live sale, a Sealed Bid OEM dealer round, and a Reverse English procurement tender on the same day on the same infrastructure.
Does Atreus offer a self-serve sign-up? No. Atreus is a custom engagement, not a self-serve SaaS product. Every deployment starts with a scoping conversation about the operator's auction model, integration requirements, bidder population, and operational scale. This is intentional — different industries (fleet remarketing vs charity galas vs construction procurement) have very different platform requirements.
How is Atreus different from Manheim, Copart, Ritchie Bros, or B-Stock? Those are marketplaces — third-party venues with their own buyer pools where operators list items and pay per-transaction fees. Atreus is software the operator runs themselves, white-labelled to their own brand, with their own bidder pool and no per-transaction fees. Marketplaces are right for operators who want immediate buyer reach without building anything. Atreus is right for operators who want to own the platform, the data, and the bidder relationship long-term.
What is the largest auction the Atreus engine has handled? The underlying engine has conducted more than 51 million auctions across ProZorro and ProZorro.Sale combined. Single-day peak volume during procurement events on ProZorro has run into the tens of thousands of concurrent auctions. The platform runs on AWS with elastic capacity, so scale is provisioned per event.
Does Atreus integrate with my ERP, DMS, or fleet management system? Yes. The platform is API-first — every auction action is exposed through the public REST API at auctions-api.atreus.auction. Atreus has a direct Odoo ERP integration; integration with other systems (Reynolds, CDK, Dealertrack, SAP Ariba, Coupa, custom fleet platforms) is built during the custom engagement based on the operator's data model.
How long does an Atreus deployment take? Timing depends on integration complexity, format requirements, and white-label scope. The auction engine itself is production-ready from day one — most of the timeline is the operator's specific UI, integrations, and business-rule customization, agreed during scoping.
